Diavita organizes the training for managing of medical emergencies

Further education of the medical staff of dialysis centers, according to European protocol. This was the purpose of the one week training from Diavita company, which offers this service with the highest standards in 5 Albanian cities, as part of the public private partnership.

The medical staff that works in the city of Shkodra, Lezha, Vlora, Korça and Elbasan, under the care of the concessionary company Diavita and in collaboration with the Italian company AEFFE AggiornaMenti InFormazione për Edukimin ECM, received a series of lectures about the firs aid for children and adults. The educational session was held conform the latest European protocol ILCOR – ERC 2015. At the end of the course of three modules, the trained staff acquired the abilities of proper managing of medical emergencies, which will be used in aid to dialysis patient. The staff was trained to manage the vital functions of the patients in need of first aid.

In May 2015 the Ministry of Health announced open the tender for offering the dialysis service in 5 centers, from which the winner was declared the joint venture of eVita and the American Hospital, from which was established the concessionary company, Diavita. From May 2017 Diavita operates in full capacity in Shkodra, Lezha, Vlora, Korça and Elbasan while providing assistance and help, nearby their cities of residence, for over 300 dialysis patients, while increasing significantly the quality of service and the life quality of these patients, whom were traveling for long hours to receive this service before.
